I counted 36 online casino game software providers while reviewing 20Bet. In my experience, most online casinos have only a few, so I was happy to see the large variety. Twelve of the 36 providers power the live dealer platform. Which was an added surprise, as live dealer casinos typically only have one or two software providers. All the games I tested in demo mode have high-quality graphics and smooth gameplay.

Established in 2021, 20Bet is a safe and secure online casino certified by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. Certifications are excellent because it requires the online casino to abide by strict standards of legality, safety, and quality. At the time of my review, League of Legends, Dota 2, and Counter-Strike tournaments were available. Plus, I found live betting odds for Fortnite, Overwatch, Rainbow Six Siege, and more.

The categories are listed in the left menu and featured by championships, events, and popular sports. You can also use the search and filter tools to find what you’re looking for. There are two primary betting categories on the bet slip—single bet and multi bet. Within those categories, other ways exist to wager, like correct score, over/under, odd/even, totals, props, and more. The bet slip keeps track of your betting history as well.

20Bet has sportsbooks promotions you can take advantage of, too. For instance, the sports welcome bonus offers a 100% match of up to C$150 for new members, while the Saturday Sports Reload and Sports VIP programs are excellent options for return punters.

Available Sports & Odds

20Bet has more than 130 sports you can wager on. Compared to other online sportsbooks, the betting odds are competitive, and you can select the odds format in the settings section of the sportsbook. Choices include decimal, American (moneyline), fractional, Malaysian, Indonesian, and Hong Kong.

For Canadian players, decimal odds (wager x odds = payout) and American odds (odds/100 x amount wagered = payout) are both popular. Canadian TV networks like TSN show American odds on their games. Personally, I prefer decimal odds because they are easier to calculate.

There’s also a unique feature called Quickbet. If you use this option, your bet is placed immediately after selection instead of asking for a confirmation. It is a nice feature for live betting or if you are in a rush to get your wager in.

Types of Bets

The bet types at 20Bet vary from sport to sport. For instance, basketball and baseball have different bet types. In basketball, a popular bet is a team’s total number of three-pointers made during the game. But in baseball, run lines are a common bet. Run line is a wager on how many runs the team must win by. As you can see, these bets aren’t interchangeable because they relate to the specific way the sport is played.

There are two primary bet types at 20Bet: Single Bet and Multi-Bet. Single bets are straightforward bets where you select the outcome of the event. They can be placed on any event, and winnings are calculated based on the odds x your wager (decimal betting format).

Multi bets — also called accumulator or parlay bets — are more complex. They require multiple predictions that must all be successful to win the wager. The entire stake is lost if just one of the multi bets fails.

20Bet minimum wagers start as low as C$0.15 and the maximum amount you can win on a wager ranges from C$150,000 per bet up to C$380,000–C$800,000 per week.  

Aside from those primary categories, there are many bet types to choose from — and, of course, they vary based on the sport or event. Popular bet types at 20Bet include match, correct score, over/under, head-to-head, half-time, and full-time. Some unique options include Asian Handicap, Asian Total, and Double Chance.

Live Sports Betting

Live betting is another way to get in on the sports wagering action at 20Bet. This form of betting takes place while the match is happening.

20Bet also has a livestreaming feature on the site where you can watch the event as it unfolds. To access this feature, click the Live red button on the game card. A small screen appears to the right where you can play, pause, and adjust the size of the viewing screen. Options for live betting include odds on single and accumulator wagers. You can also view analytics and other bet types on the card.

Racebook

The racebook at 20Bet has Thoroughbred, Harness, and Greyhound races from around the world. You can view all the tracks and races on one screen, or filter by country. To begin, select the race you’re interested in and then place the bets you want to make. You can choose single, combo, or system bets — or a combination of all three. Minimum wagers start at C$1.

Select races have livestreaming capability. Look for the phrase “Live Stream” or a video camera icon.  

20Bet Online Casino Games

20Bet has an excellent selection of random number generator (RNG) online casino games, with 36 software providers and thousands of games. The largest category is slots, but you can also play numerous other casino classics like blackjack, roulette, baccarat, poker; miscellaneous specialty games like bingo, arcade games, scratch cards, and keno are available as well. 20Bet also has a collection of 28 virtual sports games in the casino library. Virtual sports are RNG simulated online casino games that can be based on real sports teams or sporting events with fictional players and games. Testing the games in demo mode is a fun and free way to get familiar with the titles before you wager for real money.

I appreciate that you can sort, filter, and mark games as favorites. However, seeing primary categories like blackjack, poker, and table games would be nice. Instead, they are in the Other Games category, and you must scroll through a large selection to find what you’re looking for.

20Bet also has a live dealer casino powered by 12 software providers including Evolution Lobby, Pragmatic, and Ezugi Games. The primary difference between live dealer games and RNG games is there’s an actual casino dealer, and the games are live-streamed. Like the RNG games, the collection is impressive. I counted over 50 game variations, including the standard assortment of blackjack, roulette, and baccarat. There are also fun variations of game show titles and poker. I’ll dive into that a bit further down the page in the live dealer section.

Slot Games

I was impressed with the number of real money slots available at 20Bet. There are 7,586 slot games to choose from. That’s a massive amount compared to other online casinos I’ve reviewed; library sizes rarely exceed a few hundred.

It would be helpful if the slots were divided into categories, but there is an option to search by game title and software provider, which helps narrow down what you’re looking for. 20Bet also has 50 Pragmatic Play Drops & Wins slots. Drops & Wins have random daily jackpot drops equaling up to 2,500x the winning bet amount. 

I found the return to player percentages (RTP%) and volatility levels on some slot game cards, but not all. Adding the RTP% to all the games would be useful because it helps players understand which games payout more frequently vs. the ones that pay the largest amounts.

However, credit and debit cards offer the most security but take up to seven days. It would be nice to see more withdrawal options like cryptocurrency, but I like that there are zero transaction fees for the deposit and withdrawal methods.  

Deposit Methods

I was impressed with the various payment methods available to make a deposit (there are 42). You can use Interac debit and Interac e-transfers—which are quite common on Canadian sites, but you also have a choice of credit cards, crypto, digital wallets, vouchers, and bank transfers. 20Bet notes that eWallets are the quickest and are credited to your account within 12 hours — but credit cards, debit, and cryptocurrency can take up to 24 hours to process. Deposit minimums vary depending on the method, but range from $5–$15 which is on the lower end of the spectrum compared to other online casinos.

There aren’t as many ways to cash out your funds as there are to deposit — but that is common at online casinos. UI & Mobile Experience at 20Bet

The user interface at 20Bet is easy to navigate and well-organized. The color scheme is blue and white with green accents. I like the way the green is used as a highlight for whatever you are hovering on. It makes the numbers in the sportsbook and the Play Now feature in the casino easier to see.

The categories are neatly aligned in a menu at the top of the page. If you’re hurrying to find something specific, you can use the search feature in the sportsbook and casino sections.

20Bet is mobile-friendly—however, if you want access to both the casino and the sportsbook, you’ll need to download the app. You can find the app in the app store or scan the QR code and download the app via the Mobile App tab on the 20Bet website.

To access just the sportsbook, type the URL into the browser of your smart device. The good news is, both the download and the web-app version are Android and iOS compatible and have the same real money wagering opportunities as the desktop version.

The app is currently the only way to access the casino portion of the site via your tablet or smartphone. Most online casinos no longer require an app, so this aspect of 20Bet felt a bit dated. Personally, I prefer not to download an app if I don’t need to. I found several customer support options, including email, live chat, and a FAQs hub. I decided to explore all three avenues to gather the information I needed. While the FAQs provides a speedy self-help response, it has limited coverage of various topics. For instance, there isn’t any information on the payout methods available or what the minimum and maximum withdrawal amounts are. This is a standard FAQ at other online casinos, so I was surprised to find a lack of information on the topic.

If you have more time and can’t find what you need in the FAQ, you can use the email contact form. Similar to other online casinos, you select from a category of issues and provide your name, email, and a message about why you’re contacting them.

The other option is live chat. One of the perks of using live chat is you can opt to have a transcript of the conversation emailed to you. That way, the information is accessible if you need to reference it again. I used the live chat feature to ask about withdrawal methods. The person I chatted with was friendly and gave prompt replies. However, the rep needed to be more knowledgeable about the payout options. I had to ask precise questions to get the answers I needed. I enjoyed the experience I had at 20Bet Casino and Sportsbook. I especially like the live dealer platform. It is rare to find a live dealer casino with more than two software providers, let alone 12. The best thing about the live dealer casino was the variety of available games. In addition to the standard offerings of blackjack, roulette, and baccarat, I found popular game show titles like Deal or No Deal and poker games like Texas Hold’Em. The sportsbook has some excellent features as well. In addition to the 130+ sports disciplines you can bet on, you can watch many of the matches and events live right there in the sportsbook while placing live bets. The excitement of multiple things happening at once made it feel similar to a brick-and-mortar location. Of course, there are a couple of areas that need improvement too. Although the customer service rep I chatted with was friendly, the overall knowledge of available payouts was lacking. I was also disappointed to discover crypto withdrawals are not an option. Overall though, I recommend 20Bet Casino and Sportsbook for Canadian residents and visitors looking for a diverse game selection and tons of sports betting action.
