RTG, short for Real Time Gaming, has been making casino software since the early days of online casinos, starting in 1998. What RTG Offers
A software company’s appeal to players at least always comes down to the quality of its games, and RTG’s have at least been sufficient in this regard. A lot of RTG’s focus is on casino operators, this isn’t that unusual as this is their customers, who pay them the money to be permitted to offer their games. RTG claims that their setup is the most profitable out there for casino operators, and do offer some innovative customization options for online casinos which they no doubt appreciate.
This is not something that players tend to care about of course, like for instance being able to adjust the payouts for slots more easily, or choosing how many decks you want to use with your blackjack games, but in the end, if the software doesn’t suit the casinos well enough, they just won’t offer it, so this being more appealing to operators does make it more likely that players will be able to enjoy it, and have more variety of games to choose from.

RTG’s download version of its games does offer a little sharper graphics, but the difference is barely perceptible, and is small enough that this should not even be a consideration. Getting this in download form is very easy though so there are no issues here really in any case.
RTG does offer progressive jackpots on its games across multiple sites, although their jackpots are sometimes criticized for being less lucrative as the progressive jackpots on some of their competitors. This is just a matter of how the payouts are proportioned though, and they tend to proportion less of a percentage to the jackpot than some casinos do, but this isn’t a negative really, it just means that the overall payouts are structured a little differently.

So this doesn’t really come down to who makes the best games, or at least shouldn’t have to come down to that, and if it did, well when players speak of the best overall software maker, other names tend to come up more than RTG’s.
Yet many players enjoy RTG’s games, especially their slots, their table games aren’t quite as good but their slots do have a pretty good following, with many interesting ones.
